Managing EPC Renewals Across a Portfolio

Centralised tracking, renewal cycles and single-point-of-contact working.

Note: This is a general guide for UK commercial property owners and professionals. Non-domestic EPC regulations, registers and processes differ across England & Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Always check the current position on GOV.UK and the relevant national register before acting on any specific matter.

Build the register first

Start with a single schedule of every demise: address, unit reference, current rating, lodgement and expiry date, assessment level and upcoming lease events. Most portfolios discover gaps and duplicate certificates at this stage alone.

Cluster the work

Renewals grouped geographically and by expiry window are far more efficient than reactive single instructions. Assessing several units on one visit reduces cost per certificate and gives consistent modelling assumptions across the estate.

Single point of contact

For multi-site clients we work to one instruction route, one reporting format and one schedule covering every property, so asset and compliance teams see the same position at any point in the programme.
